Actually, Stomp. Karen and I went up to Edmonton to catch them. We had wicked seats... 5th row, centre, floor (above the orchestra pit). Close enough to read their facial expressions and stuff. So much fun, the show was phenominal as always. It was interesting though, they've added a lot more comedy. I mean, they've always done the comedy stuff, but it was kind of like little treats to the audience in the show. This time it was more almost primary to the show. There were lots of times I was a little frustrated because there was so much laughter I couldn't hear the rythms. Still gets a 5 outta 5 for the show, but instead of totally being blown away and inspired by this two hour build of sound that finishes with a huge, loud, fast and insanely rythmic and energetic climax that has me tapping on everything for weeks, I laughed so hard my back hurts today. It was cool to get the totally different feel cuz I've seen the show so many times.
We also cruised the mall (ho hum as usual, wanted to hit the water park but we didn't have time, although I gotta say, having a girlfriend who is a little bored of the shops after 10 minutes and pines for the waterpark instead is awesome). Had breakfast with my family, awesome to see them, then cruised Whyte Ave a bit with Karen's friends Chris and Mirka (I have no idea how to spell it right, it sounds kinda like meer cat, and its a Ukrainian name?). That was cool too, Karen really likes them and I can totally see why, I felt really comfortable around them.
Anyway, fun times this weekend. Chris is back now, so I'll probably have to do a little more work over the next couple weeks.
