I just finished listening to the new Wide Mouth Mason Album. It is so phenominal. They've really come full circle in their sound. They started very rocky, then went to softer artsy (which I really loved), and then slowly started building back to rock with a funk album, then an art rock. The new one is really driving, but some amazing songwriting, different sort of stuff. I really appreciate the lyrics too. Their last one was a breakup album that really helped me a lot earlier in the year, and the title track on the new one (the album is called Shot Down Sattelite btw) really puts the punctuation on the end of the sentance. Just brilliant.
I'm listening to Limelight right now... it's Colin James' newest album. So far it's really bluesy and funky, good stuff. Go buy em, don't download these ones, the artists are local and smaller than you're typical cookie cutter post rock era rock.
K, that's it.
