Smokin Crazy Kabuki Hurricane

And those aren't even all the words in the titles of the bands playing.

Went to the Night Gallery for the first time ever tonight. I felt a little clean cut in there, but we were there for a specific show so it was alright. It was Hurricane Felix and the Southern Twisters with Burlesque dancing by the Kabuki Guns, and warm up acts by the Crazy 8s and the Smokin' 45s. Sounds like a mouthful eh? Had a super good time.

Definitely not your all ages type show, especially with the dancers, and rockabilly lyrics tend to be raunchy too, but it was fun. So much energy in the music... could just sit hypnotised by the bass players slappin the standup and the guitar solos rippin. Erin, David and Sinead came along too... we all had a great time. Very crowded and smoky, but barely noticed. Definitely worth the $10.

Last night had dinner with Mel and Roland (a couple Erin knows) at the Cactus Club. But in 14 songs, about 2/3 swing and the others bad 80s on the juke.. I think they were ready to kill us.

Anyway, super tired now... going to sleep.
